Knee exercises and ITB stretches....

I posted these because I am recovering from a knee injury. As we live in Russia, I have not seen a doctor as of yet so I am having to perform daily stretches and exercises to help my knee until we find out what the underlying problem is. They have helped a great deal and every day my knee is getting stronger. I now have no pain when I run, and the swelling continues to go down. As of now my runs are only 11 consecutive mins and each week I am increasing my distance my 10% to ensure that I do not re-injure my knee. So far this plan is working well.

I wanted to share these videos I found as there may be others who are suffering from a similar problem as well as have the videos online so that I can refer back to them as needed.

Hi Jen! I am continually amazed by the determination you show in the classic-of-all-classic COLD NORTHS of the world! I am so inspired by your willingness to keep going no matter what and... that is what is going to get and keep you at goal. So sorry about the knee - I've been there, but here, there are Phys. Therapists to help. With no help for you, you are really doing a terrific job. Glad the knee is healing, but careful about putting that joint back into action too soon! The idea of vids to research for solutions is novel (to this computer neophyte) and a really good idea. Super job - With your never-quit attitude, You are a big winner in my book!

Jen, thanks for posting this about ITB, which I have suffered from for about 6 years now. I kinda gave up on running, which I love, but this has renewed my interest in trying to get the *right* treatment for it. And convinced me that I need to get a foam roller and start doing those stretches for ITB as well. Maybe I can be a runner again? :) I'd at least love to do 4-5 miles without pain.

Love the new picture and layout and your new photo--beautiful :)

last few days our class held a similar talk on this subject and you point out something we haven't covered yet, thanks.
